Independence Day Celebrations in Franklin Southampton

Get your red, white, and blue gear ready for all the Independence Day Celebrations happening in Franklin Southampton over the next week!

June 29th: Downtown Franklin’s Independence Day Celebration
The City of Franklin and Blackwater Community Events are co-hosting the 2022 Independence Day Celebration in Downtown Franklin! We hope you and your family will join the fun in Downtown Franklin for an evening of food, festivities, and fireworks!
The celebration will include:

  • Franklin Cruise In (Starting at 4pm)
  • Franklin Market on Main (Starting at 4pm)
  • The Embers performing at Barrett’s Landing (6pm-9pm)
  • Free hotdogs & watermelon courtesy of Franklin Experience (Starting at 6:30 – while supplies last)
  • FIREWORKS (9:15pm)

The local shops and restaurants will also be open, and we encourage you to visit them as well.

July 2nd: Sedley’s Independence Day Celebration
Sedley’s Independence Day Celebration 2022 will be held on July 2, which plans to host a full day of events. Come out and enjoy all the fun activities!

  • 9am with the 3rd annual Custom Car, Truck and Motorcycle show
  • 10am GFWC Sedley Women’s Club will host the annual Veterans Program at Grace Memorial Methodist Church
  • 3pm Parade
  • 7pm Live Music
  • 9:15pm Fireworks

Throughout the day there will be a Cornhole Tournament, Bounce House, Local Vendors, and Carnival style food!

July 4th: Ivor Community 4th of July Celebration
Ivor has all the fun this year for 4th of July! Come out and enjoy the below list of events!

  • Opening Ceremonies start at 2pm
  • Live Music with: Christopher Pierce 2-4 pm, Brandon Davi s 4-6 pm, Sliver Street 6-9 pm
  • Axe Throwing & Mechanical Bull 2-7 pm
  • Fireworks around 9pm

There will be a KidZone all day with bounce houses, laser tag, free popcorn, snow cones, games and ore as well as food tucks!

July 4th: Newsoms July 4th Festivities
Newsoms is hosting heir annual 4th of July Parade starting at 5pm. After the parade, there will be free hotdogs and drinks and music from the Shiloh Grass Band along with sparklers on the ballfield for kids.
